I earned a Graduate Diploma of Education in English and Business Studies from Griffith University and a Certificate in Academic Excellence. I also have a Bachelor of Adult and Vocational Education from Griffith University, where I majored in literacy and numeracy. I am TESOL certified, and I have a Cert IV. I studied Japanese pre-intermediate to upper-intermediate at the YMCA Japanese Language College in Fukuoka, Japan. I also participated in the AFS High School Exchange Program at Kashii High School.
Experience
I have been teaching English as a second language for more than 13 years. During that time, I have worked with people from more than 20 different countries. I have tutored people of all ages for different reasons. I have helped a Korean family learn English 3 times a week for 2 years. I have also helped primary and secondary students study for tests, do homework, or study for exams. I have had basic conversation lessons with international students wanting to improve pronunciation, intonation, listening, and fluency. Additionally, I have helped people prepare speeches.

Hobbies
In my free time when I'm not looking after my son I train for triathlons. I love getting my heart rate up! I love a challenge! I have completed 2 full ironman triathlons and numerous other shorter distances. My favourite leg is running although I am not fast. When I am not working, looking after my son or training, I like to read on the beach or watch a good movie.
