Education

I earned a bachelor's degree in applied maths from 2011 to 2005. From 2005 to 2007, I earned a master's degree in applied maths as well.

Experience

I am originally from Russian, and I currently live on the Gold Coast. I was born in 1984 in Siberia, Russian, and I have liked math since childhood. While in school, I often helped my classmates with different math tasks, and it was then that I realized how much I enjoyed transferring my knowledge to another person. I received even more enjoyment when I saw just how much my knowledge had helped my students. I began to engage in math tutoring during my undergraduate studies actively. During this time, I helped both my own classmates and other students. Following graduation, I worked in the IT department. However, I continued tutoring because of the positive impact it made on others. When my wife and I moved to Australia in 2017, tutoring became my passion, so it was only natural that I continued using my skills to help students here. My experience to date exceeds more than 14 years in tutoring high school and university students. I tutor successfully in English and Russian, and my lessons focus on simple and logical explanations. My aim is not just to teach students how to solve a problem but also to understand the essence of that problem. Students from all backgrounds and with different math skills improve in their basic mathematical knowledge and gain deeper insights into math concepts. I believe that math can be enjoyable, and in a friendly, positive atmosphere, students begin to realize that there is a creative side to math - it really isn't just boring numbers and equations. Each student is an individual, and therefore my teaching style is flexible and adaptable to bring the best possible results.
